Both regular undergraduate and graduate students at Gifu University’s partner
institutions are eligible for this exchange program.
2. Special Research Student
Only regular graduate students at Gifu University’s partner institutions are
eligible to apply for this exchange program.

“Gifu University” is the national university in the historical city of Gifu, Japan which remains strongly rooted in its local community.

Situated in the centre of Japan, Gifu is characterised by imposing mountains and crystal clear rivers. Historically, it has been a region where the northern and eastern cultures of Japan merged and where a wide range of cultures and technologies have been created and transmitted.

** The exchange students are entitled to a waiver of tuition, application and registration fees.
** If your Japanese proficiency is below N2, you can take Japanese language and Culture classes offered by the Center for Japanese Language and Culture.
